  • There are many people within our community, both residents and transients, who are in need.

  • Their needs are financial, educational, emotional, and spiritual.

  • Mustard Seed works with all agencies and resources in our community to meet the needs of the client.

  • Through community collaboration all efforts are made to prevent duplication of services.

  • Mustard Seed is supported by individuals, businesses, churches & other organizations in meeting the needs of St. Lucie County residents.

Founded in 1986 by a group of local churches, Mustard Seed Ministries was intended to be a clearing house for them because they realized that no one church could adequately meet all the needs presented. This centralized agency would combine the physical and financial support of the churches while striving to abate the crises of residents. Ministering in the name of Jesus Christ, Mustard Seed provides intervention services to those who may have physiological, financial, emotional and spiritual needs. Our services include assistance with food insecurities, past due utilities, rent/mortgage payments, furniture, transportation/travel, emergency shelter, prescriptions, medical equipment, clothing, gasoline, medical care vouchers and many case-by-case interventions. As part of our food program, we implement a summer food program for school children who receive free/reduced meals during the school year; operate a Community Bucket Garden and an annual Community Thanksgiving Feast.  MSM collaborates with a local health clinic for uninsured residents for a Chronic Disease Education Program and Diabetes Education Program. Services are available to all in need in this county. Our Executive Director/Pastor provides pastoral care to individuals and families in need through spiritual and emotional guidance and support.  Mustard Seed operates two thrift stores and a furniture pickup and delivery service
